Cellular Asset Management has moved its group headquarters to Dubai and also recently opened an office in Qatar. The company asked us to provide an Arabic version of the company website. To do this, we project managed the reworking of the page templates so that they were right reading and moved the company logo and the menus to the right hand side of the pages. We recruited three freelance translators to localise the content. One provided creative copywriting and proofreading services, one provided technical translation and third helped us upload the content correctly to the website. We translated all of the image names used in the Arabic site to improve performance with the search engines.
CAM is in the business of serving the needs of mobile operators, so the mobile version of the company's website had to be just right. The design of CAM's desktop website was complex, incorporating sliding banners and content accessed from multiple locations around the pages. Our challenge was to simplify the layout of information in such a way that the creative mood of the desktop site was retained but information was presented sufficiently clearly to make the site simple to navigate.
CAM enlisted our help to put together its new website two years ago. The company had commissioned a digital agency to provide design, content and technical implementation, but the agency had struggled to understand CAM's business and to source appropriate material from both internal and external sources. Within days we had formulated a plan to complete the website, involving the company in contributing appropriate information that we could use to write meaningful web content. The project entailed moving developers to achieve an appropriate level of quality and reliability, and also engaging a good corporate photographer to capture realistic but attractive images of the company at work. CAM was delighted with the site which has represented the company coherently and elegantly to the market.
